LOUISE WELLS - AU

Louise's infectious smile will have you smiling too!  She loves to create with layers of unusual fabrics that she then cuts back, colours, stitches and rearranges!

Her work is phenomenal and really needs to be seen in the flesh to be fully appreciated.  Every year she comes up with something new and truly unique.

You DO NOT want to miss this class !  

TECHNIQUE: Layer a variety of fabrics to create textures and surface design. Add stitch and cut away to reveal hidden gems!

SUE DENNIS - AU

Sue travelled the world, and brought the memories home with her rubbings and surface impressions.  Italian manhole covers, door facades and other surfaces are the basis of many of her works.
Sue has been integral in many overseas textile art installations and belongs to several International art groups.


TECHNIQUE: We will be using Shiva Oil sticks to bring a new viewpoint to fabric

JULIE HADDRICK - AU

Known for her beautiful painterly art quilts, Julie's love of birds will see us creating a gorgeous Kingfisher.

We will use drawing techniques to bring this beauty to life.

TECHNIQUE: Draw, colour, stitch and add fine details to bring the project to life.  We will be using Fabrico fabric markers to highlight and add colour

CARLEY CORNELISSEN - AU

Carley's style is fun, fresh and full of natural charm.  She draws with her heart and colours with a rainbow.

TECHNIQUE: Learn the secrets of shading with this wonderful artist.  We will be using Inktense pencils on special paper and learn tips an tricks to further our art practice, both on and off fabric.
The perfect lesson for our holiday season, you can take this one away with you, no sewing required.

BRENDA WOOD - AU

Brenda is the creator of Workshop in a Box.  Her knowledge of techniques and strong relationships with tutors and course content creation meant she hit the ground running with this fabulous system, which was developed because we can't get International tutors to teach workshops.

In July we printed and stitched on this little know product which is a type of washaway. We used the beautiful bee eater as our subject, which we framed with materials in our kit.

TECHNIQUE:  Printable Sticky solvy, thread painting,  free motion stitching, applique

ISABELLE WIESSLER - GER

Master of surface design, Isabelle's work is sought after and displayed in significant International exhibitions.

Her love of her craft comes through in her teaching and her students fell in love with her beautiful teaching style and clear explanation of her processes.

TECHNIQUE: Paint, layer, stitch and heat - create an art piece using Tyvek and frame or use them in the art cards provided.

JULIE TASKER - SA/AU

Originally from South Africa, the gorgeous Julie Tasker loves to portray the animals that are near and dear to her heart and art.

In August we will be stitching and colouring this magic meerkat and our suggested project is a cushion, to make or gift.

Gillian is one of the most, if not THE most colourful and fun tutor there is!  World traveller and prolific creator she documents her experiences through her art.

In September we will be learning how to transform our memories and via a variety of painterly and applique techniques we will create our own journal page... hopefully the start of our own life experiences.

TECHNIQUE: Photo detailing, Inktense pencils, painterly backgrounds, fun applique

GLORIA LOUGHMAN - AU

Gloria is possibly Australia's most beloved art tutor!  Her work has won International acclaim and she has authored several books which incorporate her unique art processes.

In October she will be bringing you a new one.. incorporating her signature tiling method, redone, and with new fabrics you make yourself. 

TECHNIQUE: Create fabrics by overpainting and reinventing them, then use them to feature and  embellish the beautiful hand dyed fabric made especially for you by Gloria.  2 scenes to choose from,  calm blues, or sunset reds to create a small art quilt.

LYN KENNY - AU

With Lyn's unparalleled experience and eye for processes, you will learn how to dye a  series of colours creating a palette that will fill your fabric stash with those hard to find tones.

Working with a limited palette, you will create different tones in  colourway using half a metre of fabric.

TECHNIQUE: Dyeing with Procion MX dyes to create a colour palette and use them to create an art journal cover designed by Lyn
